You may also bring used, clean plastic bags for recycling. In the future, used plastic bags can be recycled at the Franklin Lakes Stop & Shop on Franklin Avenue

An on-site paper shredding truck will provide shredding for Franklin Lakes residents only. All received documents will be handled in a secure manner, officials said.

Residents will be provided the opportunity to observe their documents being shredded on-site. The mobile shredding truck will have a fully functional camera system that allows residents to observe the shredding operation.

Shredding material can include tax returns, personal papers, old bills, cancelled checks, etc. You do not have to remove staples, paper clips or rubber bands.
